I was wading through designing the 4000 odd products for my common baby names range and stopped for a moment.
We can so often get caught up in keyword research and seo and all that but completely forget about just putting something up on the web from the heart.
The design that you see, Butterfly Kisses was made in memory especially for my darling daughter Candice who died of Leukemia.
The moment felt right and I am pleased with the result. Feel a loot better for doing it to.
Just thought I would share.

Slowly been working on the huge range of bags with baby names and so forth and am up to the letter C.
Took a break and checked out how google analytics was going as I have had a fairly quick stream of traffic lately.
Noticed that I have gone to page 1 on google on a couple of long tail terms and had a bit of a deeper look.
Seems that the title of your gallery has a very deep impact on the results. If the exact term is mentioned in your title that is being searched for, it seems to pick up zazzles automatic append of an item plus that term and if you are lucky enough or have engineered it so, bingo your site comes up.
Definitly worth a deeper look at.
Anhow heres the little baby mucking around on the letter C.
Cheers.

Sometimes we are a bit hasty when doing repetitive work but the names of the images that you upload to zazzle can make life easier for you.
When you create many products at once, the auto name field is filled with the name of your picture.
Ah ha. The example here with the product name of "All Boy Logo" is actually the name of the image that I uploaded.
Doesn't sound like a huge tip, but over many thousands of products and images it can save you considerable time.
Cheers for now

While zazzle has some very configurable editing tools, it sure is a pain when you are creating a lot of products.
I decided to use the create many products quickly option which works quite well and decided to create a template to reuse for other products.
I have designed a baby name range and as you can imagine there are a lot of names and products possible.
Tip1. Do use the auto build and save as a template first time round.
Tip2. Dont try and use the template straight away for the next bunch of products. It seems to take until the previous products are publish ready for it to become available.
Tip 3. Make sure you drag n drop or delete the autobuilt products before you fill all the details in and post to public.
Changing the order of products in the gallery afterwards is a apin in the A.
Any how, have another 5000 products to knock up
Thought I would share
Cheers

Just had a thought because I run a weight loss site that some slimming graphics might help people gain some self confidence while they are dieting.
Drew up some designs that I think should be accepted well.
Will check stats on google analytics because I have zazzle linked in and report back after a little while.

Zazzle lets you create as many galleries as you wish. You will get paid separately, but all together you can get group bonuses.
The separate galleries help in organizing lots of products so I thought I would give it a go.
I am writing very naturally to see if the LSI concepts google is using are better than the old fashioned keyword stuffed ways of yesterday.
Keep you updated as I hopefully get some traffic to the new Baby Names store.

For anyone using Zazzle.com to design your own tshirt and sell them to the public, it is always good to know how people find your zazzle site and what items they click on.
In your profile section down the bottom is a checkbox that asks you to enable google analytics. If you have never subscribed to this fantastic free statistical engine you can at http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_up.html
Once you have you enter in the special number that you will be given on analytics signup.
This then enables statistics for your zazzle account which you can pick up once you log into your google analytics account.
Take the time to check out all the statistics as they are truly mind boggling.
Think outside the box as to what you can use these stats for.
Traffic sources might help you refine your adsense locations.
Screen resolution will help you design your websites for best exposure.
Items clicked will help you define the current favourites that you might want to promote.
The list is endless.
So if you have never worked within a statistics package before, Google analytics on your Zazzle account is a great introduction.

While I have been doing some design work I have been using a cool little tool that I thought you might like to know about.
It costs nada and is dead easy to use.
It is a little app with an eydropper that will give you the color values from anything on your screen. I dont know about you but finding just the right shade is sometimes so tough and then you see the color you want on a site or somewhere on your screen.
I gaurantee you that you will find this little sucker invaluable.
Hope it is of use to you. You can get it at www.colorschemer.com.
Im going to put a link in the link widget cause this tool is really useful.

Found a cool way to get a pretty realistic graffiti image onto any surface that I want.
The Obama graffiti is all designed within corel draw and corel photo and then I use a trace and emboss to get the detail.
I am going to do a bit more with this because I love the rawness of the imagery that Graffiti has.
This is also a lot better than painting it all over the sidewalks so to speak.
I think it looks great on a tshirt.

Hello to any poor soul coming across this blog.
I have been internetting (is that a word?) for quite a few years now and have tried a lot of different things on the net for all sorts of reasons.
Some of the sites I have are just for fun and free and some I make money with. I am always astounded at how much is possible with the net and blogging is something I have often wanted to start and I guess now is as good as any time.
I am going to blog pretty well on anything net related that takes my fancy, but generally from a web developer perspective. I guess you will see by the posts what I mean.
My latest interest at this point is to get in touch with my creative side and vent my arty bits on an unsuspecting world.
I have set up a personalized clothing store at Zazzle and loving it.
Imagine having an entire factory making, packing shipping and invoicing for you and all yopu did was give them a design to print on the clothing. Totally scaleable. If only I had some real graphic talent. Ton of fun.
Anyhow, get to know you better if you subscribe over time.
Please leave comments, I would love to know that there are humans out there in cyberspace.
Cheers
